What is Neuro Lingusitic Programming (NLP) ?
NLP is a set of powerful techniques used for personal transformation. NLP is the most powerful approach to Communication,Performance and Change that we believe has been found to date.
NLP is interested in how successful people do what they do -ie how some people are able to achieve consistent ,positive, and outstanding results. This process in NLP is known as "modelling" and it provides a blueprint for helping all people improve their communication, eliminate negative thoughts, negative emotions and behaviour patterns.
The NLP blueprint of sucess can enable anyone to achieve outstanding results. The NLP process of techniques enables individuals to release unwanted beliefs/behaviours, and to assist them to achieve what they want instead ie positive outcomes, achieved through emotional state management and reprogramming their minds.
The name Neuro Linguistic Programming derives from the three areas it brings together:-
Neuro:- our nervous system, the mind and how we think.
Linguistic:-how we use language, how it affects us and how we view the world.
Programming:- the patterns and programmes we run in our neurology in order to achieve our desired outcomes and goals
What is Time Line Therapy ?
All our memories are stored in our unconscious mind in a sequence (order) and around a gestalt (ie particular subjects -happy memories, unhappy memories, sad memories and so on). So, Time Line is how people store and code their memories.
The way we behave in the present is often a reaction to our past memories and the decisions and feelings we unconsciously had or made in the past. All our decisions are stored in our Time Line and in Time Line Therapy the individual is guided to easily and effortlessly release the negative emotions associated with the decisions which we had or took in the past.
Once the limiting decisions and the negative emotions associated with past memories are released a person's memories can no longer hold them back in life, or create feelings of hurt or unhappiness.
What is Hypnotherapy ?
Hypnosis is simply a natural state of relaxation and concentration combined with heightened awareness. We all unknowingly experience this natural state every day. We achieve this natural 'hypnotic' state when we tune out distracting thoughts and focus our attention- for example when we are daydreaming or totally absorbed watching the TV or reading a book. So,
Hypnotherapy is a process which induces a state of relaxation and distracts the conscious mind in order to communicate directly with the unconscious mind. It is in the unconscious mind that we hold all our memories, experiences, it controls our feelings and all our behaviours. Consequently, if we wish to change unwanted habits, negative emotions or behaviour we need to communicate with the unconscious mind and Hypnotherapy is able to do this very successfully.
During Hypnotherapy positive suggestions are made to the unconscious mind, which will benefit you following your session(s).
During Hypnosis you will be in a pleasant state of relaxation and you will remain in complete control and have awareness of what is happening.
Are there are dangers in Hypnosis ?
There are no substantiated cases of harm following Hypnosis. The British Medical Association and the American Medical Association have both endorsed the use of Hypnotherapy since the 1950's.
